There’s no way of avoiding it – organic food is more expensive. Mainly due to the higher labor costs and,maybe, it will always be that way.
However, the ‘real’ difference in price isn’t as great as it appears. The main reason being organic foods are usually treated as premium products by supermarkets – which means they charge a large mark-up on them.
Whether organic food is worth the extra money is for each of us to decide. But you can always be selective. Just because you have no intention, or the lack of money, to go 100% organic, it shouldn’t stop you from just buying a few organic products.
Also bear in mind that organic products can be found at much cheaper prices (than the supermarkets) via box-schemes, greengrocers and farmers markets.
