In part 1 of this series, we spoke about the chemicals used in non-organic food and the impact it can have on babies.

Buying certified organic produce guarantees that food has been grown and processed according to strict standards, set out in law to prohibit the use of certain chemicals. These stringent rules must be followed, not only by food produces and growers, but also by food manufacturers, processors, packers and importers.

There are even stricter regulatsions for baby foods.

I would advice you to list the five foods you most often give to your baby and try your best to buy organic – even if it is the basics like milk, bread, potatoes.

Baby rice, wheat products, fruit and vegetables are often the worst offenders when non-organic.
